Falcons 13U T2 win in Mississauga

The Niagara Falls falcons 13u T2 team were victorious in the Mississauga togers tournament over the July 11-13 weekend.

The club went 1-1-1 in round robin play to advance to the gold semi finals. In the semi finals the falcons came back from an 8-2 deficit to win 13-12. In the finals vs Mansbridge, we were down to our final out in the top of the seventh and managed to get a single, walk, error and fielders choice to tie the game. Then a single to take the lead at 5-4. In the bottom of the seventh, Mansfield led off with a single and then a slow dribbler to short where the shortstop had no play. The runner at second made a wide turn and we got him out in a pickle. The next pitch was popped to the pitcher and he doubled off the runner at first to win the tournament. The kids battled hard and their perseverance was unbelievable.
